Our First Craft Fair For Many Years!
This weekend Hazel and I had a stall at a Christmas Market in Fareham, the first one we have attended for many years. It was held in the sports hall at Fareham Leisure Centre so not the most appealing venue! There were probably about 80-100 stalls with a really good mix of crafts. The weather was atrocious so we were expecting it to be really quiet, but we were wrong!
Calm before the storm, so to speak!
As we are both crafters at heart we decided to make items to sell as well as taking some fabrics and patterns from my shop. The doors opened at 9am, and we didn't stop chatting to people until 2pm when it closed! It was exhausting but so satisfying talking to people who were interested in our products and gifts. Hazel and I both have retail backgrounds and it's easy to forget how exciting it can be to make a sale, especially when it's a special something you have made yourself! Here are some more pics of our stand.

We have another Christmas Craft Fair booked on the 18th November at the Community Centre in Milford-on-Sea. We have already decided what we will do differently, how we will lay out the table next time and which gifts to take. And we have booked another fair for Easter Saturday 2024! This could be the start of something! :)
